The Secretary to Osun State government,Mr Teslim Igbalaye has been free from police custody.
His release comes on the heels of intense pressure and widespread condemnation from political stakeholders, culminating in commendations directed at the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, and the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Disu, for heeding the voice of reason.
Chief Igbalaye's detention, stemming from a controversial police raid in Osogbo, had previously sparked major political tension across the state.
Reacting to the development, Pelumi Olajengbesi, Esq., Spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council, lauded the police leadership for ultimately upholding justice and the rule of law.
