The All progressive Campaign Council has rejected the attempt by governor Ademola Adeleke to release some suspected criminals arrested at the residence of the Secretary to Osun State government,Mr Teslim Igbalaye.
The head of media and publicity,APC Governorship Campaign Council, Engineer Remi Omowaye urged Nigeria police force ,Osun State command to succumb to the pressure.
He said these criminals who included Abbey Ashipa has been linked to killings of Sheriff Oyewale, Muraina Olayiwola "Montanna", Waheed "My Friend," Tajudeen Rabiu, Ismahil Dudu, Kazeem Oyebamiji ( Mosquito),saying these Criminal Suspect alongside the notorious Emir Ajagungbade and one Damilola attacked a church in Egbatedo in June 2024, some weeks after Emir Ajagungbade was granted bail by the Court for murder and kidnapping.
The APC Governorship Campaign Council urged the good-spirited citizens to impress it on Governor Adeleke to stop harbouring these criminals because those who harbour criminals are no less criminals and No government that genuinely seeks peace and security should be seen attempting to obstruct lawful investigations or shield any individual from accountability.
He commended men and officer of the Nigeria Police Osun State Command and the Inspector General of Police Special squad for their professionalism and commitment to rid Osun of criminals and assassins. encouraging them to do more.
Engineer Omowaye said criminals in the state, whether in Accord or other political parties, should be arrested and prosecuted., submitting that there should not be any sacred cow.
