APC Slams Adeleke For Misinforming British Govt Delegation

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the outgoing Governor Ademola Adeleke of misinforming the delegation of the British Government on the forthcoming governorship election in the state about the real protagonist and promoter of political violence in the state  ahead of the 15th August, 2026 election.

Governor Adeleke had mischievously told the visiting British Government delegation led by the Senior Political Advisor, Wale Adebajo that Britain should impose economic sanctions and visa ban on the immediate-past state Governor Gboyega Oyetola now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy; Senator Francis Fadahunsi representing the Osun-East Senatorial District; Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO, the APC governorship candidate; Hon Wole Oke, the Director-General of AMBO's campaign council and other chieftains of the APC in the state 'for aiding and abetting political violence in the state'.

The statement of the governor portrayed him as a confused state executive who is grossly bereft of the next thing for him to do in his desperation to hold on to power against the wish of the highest percentage of the people of the state.

The outburst of the outgoing Governor Adeleke exposed him as someone who has not learnt anything worthwhile about governance since his over three-year uneventful administration in the state or he lacks resourceful political advisers who ought to have educated him that he was asking for an impossible utopia from the British Government.

It is improper for a state chief executive to be opening his mouth before he thinks which is the reason there have been reported cases of acts of misgovernance and policy somersaults under the administration of Governor Adeleke.

The puppet governor thinks the British Government is headed like him who is verifiably incompetent as exemplified in his approaches to issues.

If we may ask, which court or commission of enquiry indicted the APC chieftains as being responsible for aiding and abetting political violence in Osun State ahead of the forthcoming governorship election?

One would have thought that the lying and grossly incompetent governor would be bold enough to tell the visiting delegation of the British Government how he has been frustrating the job of the police by harbouring dangerous political hoodlums in the Government House to evade arrest.

How did it elude the memory of the outgoing Governor Adeleke to tell his guests that no fewer than 30 members and supporters of our party were dispatched to heaven by the defunct Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) thugs before the 2022 governorship election?

Why did the governor who is desperate for re-election fail to inform the visiting delegation of the British Government how some of his aides are now standing trial in an Abuja court over the killing of our chieftain, Honourable Remi Abass, former chairman of Irewole Local Government Council area of the state over a year ago?

It would be of interest to the visiting British Government delegation how four members of our party were killed in the ancient town of Ilesa within three days by the Accord Party thugs sometime last month.

We want to inform the visiting British Government delegation to Osun State to disregard the accusations of our chieftains and members of aiding and abetting political violence in Osun State as past events have shown that Governor Adeleke has been using lies, falsehoods and subterfuge to run his government.

Governor Adeleke is guilty of the crimes he is mischievously hanging on our party, leaders and members.
