The Osun State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure has announced the temporary closure of Oke-Baale Road leading to the University of Osun UNIOSUN to allow for the reconstruction of a collapsed culvert.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Engr. Bashir Bello in a Statement made available to Newsmen, said the closure was necessary to facilitate the repair works and ensure the safety of road users.
Engr Bello advised motorists to use an alternative route through Nawarudeen Junction.
He also appealed to motorists and other road users to cooperate with the authorities, follow diversion signs and drive carefully while the reconstruction work lasts.
According to the diversion plan, motorists are to enter through Nawarudeen Junction, turn left at the residence of Onibonokuta, then turn right at Al-Medina Secondary School before joining the East Bypass Road.
