The Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, CP Ibrahim Zungura, psc (+), mnips, today, 13th October, 2026, received the Osun State Coordinator of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), Mr Aliu K.A on a courtesy visit at the Police Command Headquarters, Osogbo, Osun State.
The visit provided an opportun
ity for both agencies to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and explore areas of mutual cooperation towards promoting environmental compliance, public safety, and the enforcement of relevant laws and regulations in the state.
The courtesy visit underscores the commitment of the Osun State Police Command to strengthening partnerships with sister agencies and other stakeholders to promote peaceful coexistence, environmental responsibility, and the overall well-being of the people of Osun State.
The Osun State Coordinator of NESREA, in his remarks, appreciated and acknowledged the CP and the entire officers of the Command for their roles in partnering with NESREA in enforcing environmental standards and regulations, while the importance of sustained communication and collaboration between the two agencies was highlighted.
In his remarks, CP Ibrahim Zungura appreciated the Coordinator for the visit and emphasised the importance of cooperation among government agencies in maintaining law and order, protecting public property, and ensuring a safe, clean, and healthy environment for residents of Osun State. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting lawful activities and fostering effective partnerships with relevant stakeholders in the interest of peace, security, and sustainable development.
