OSUN TESCOM DENOUNCES UNAUTHORIZED MEETING WITH NEWLY RECRUITED TEACHERS












The Chairman, Osun State Teaching Service Commission, Hon. Tope Mustapha Adeyemi*, has dissociated the Commission from a circular in circulation titled _“An Interactive Meeting with the Newly Recruited Teachers”_ scheduled for *Tuesday, 28th July, 2026 at 9:00am at the Staff Development Centre, Abere*.



The said notice, purportedly signed by *L.F. Akande for the Permanent Secretary*, did not emanate from the office of the Chairman and was issued *without his knowledge, input, or approval*.

The Chairman described the action as *a grave administrative breach and act of insubordination*.  

“Convening any official gathering of TESCOM staff without the knowledge and approval of the Chairman is unacceptable. At this sensitive period of our electioneering process, such unauthorized activity is capable of causing confusion, indiscipline, and embarrassment to the Commission and to the peaceful administration of His Excellency, *Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke*,” he stated.

In view of the above, the Chairman hereby directs as follows:*

1.  *The said meeting is hereby CANCELLED and declared NULL AND VOID.*

2.  *All Tutor Generals, Principals, and Teachers are directed NOT to attend.*

3.  *The originator(s) of the unauthorized notice are to report to the office of the Head of Service immediately* for explanation and appropriate disciplinary action.

The Chairman reiterated that *all official communications regarding TESCOM staff must be channeled through the office of the Chairman* in line with due process and established administrative procedure.

He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to *peace, order, transparency, and the welfare of teachers* in Osun State.
