Osun State government has restated its resolve to promotion of culture and tourism to serve as source of revenue to generation for the state.
Osun State Commissioner for culture and tourism,Hon Abiodun Bankole Ojo Bankole stated this when he featured on Impact Digital Television Osogbo personality interview programme tagged "The Dialogue" said the state was blessed with tourism potential and heritage sites.
Hon Ojo said Osun Osogbo festival which had placed Osun State in global map would continue to enjoy the support of government to make the annual event more vibrant and attractive to both local and international tourists .
He called on local and international investors to invest in the tourism sector,saying the sector had the potential of changing the economic fortune of the state.
Speaking on the forthcoming governorship Election in the state, The commissioner said governor Ademola Adeleke performance and achievements in the are of Education,Youth and women Empowerment and infrastructure development had endeared him to the people of the state and electorates in the state were ready to elect him for second term.
He hinted that under Governor Adeleke watch all the cities in the state had wear a new look through the dualization of roads and rehabilitation of township roads.
The Commissioner noted that no amount of intimidation could stop the resolve of the Osun electorate from voting for him as the residents were determined to return him for second term.
Hon Ojo decried political killings and attacks in the state saying Election was not a do or die affairs and urged politicians to play the game according to the rules.
