Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has received another major boost for his second-term bid, following a resounding endorsement from the Osun Redemption Movement (ORM), a political support group with members across the state.
The endorsement came during a colourful, well-attended event held at Adolak Event Centre in Osogbo, where members of the movement unanimously declared their support for Governor Adeleke's re-election in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
At the gathering, ORM members took turns to express their confidence in the governor's leadership, pledging to vote massively for him and safeguard their votes during the election.
Speaking at the event, the Osun State Chairman of the Osun Redemption Movement, Hon. Adebisi Olatunji, said the endorsement reflected the widespread appreciation of Governor Adeleke's performance in office.
According to him, the Adeleke administration has surpassed previous governments in the state in delivering the dividends of democracy through people-oriented programmes and inclusive governance.
He noted that the movement's endorsement was a demonstration of the people's readiness to stand behind a leader who has consistently delivered on his promises and prioritised the welfare of the citizens.
"The impact of Governor Adeleke's administration on the lives of the people cannot be overemphasised. His government has transformed the fortunes of Osun State through impactful policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people," Olatunji said.
The ORM chairman added that the movement has grown to more than 15,000 members across Osun State, assuring the governor of their unwavering support.
"Today, we have over 15,000 members across the state, and I can confidently assure you that every one of us will vote for Governor Ademola Adeleke. This is the least we can do to appreciate his outstanding performance," he said.
Also speaking, the Osun State Women Leader of the ORM, Mrs. Muritala Rukayat Iyabo, commended Governor Adeleke for promoting women's participation in governance and creating opportunities for women to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
She praised the administration for restoring public confidence in government through impactful projects and responsive leadership, while noting that the previous administration had failed to meet the expectations of the people.
In his remarks, a leader of the movement, Hon. Awofisan Rotimi, congratulated members for their commitment to the group and expressed confidence that Governor Adeleke would emerge victorious in the forthcoming election.
"Nothing will stop Governor Adeleke's victory on August 15. His achievements have already earned him the trust and support of the people," he said.
Similarly, Hon. Abayomi Ohunmakin Oluomo said Governor Adeleke deserved the overwhelming endorsement of the movement because of his developmental strides and commitment to improving the lives of Osun residents.
He urged the people of the state to sustain their support for the governor to enable him to consolidate on his achievements.
"Governor Adeleke truly embodies the name 'Imole' through the transformation he has brought to Osun State. The entire ORM will reward his outstanding performance with overwhelming votes in the August 15, 2026 governorship election," he said.
The event attracted ORM members from all local government areas and area offices across Osun State, who gathered in large numbers to formally endorse Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term in office.
