The Osun State Muslim Pilgrims' Welfare Board (OSMPWB) has received its official tent allocation for Mina and Arafah from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), marking a key step in preparations ahead of the peak of the 2026 Hajj season.
The allocation exercise, conducted few days ago under the supervision of NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, and other commission officials, covered both sacred sites where pilgrims will observe the most spiritually significant rites of the pilgrimage.
Osun State's pilgrims got the official tents under the management of Mashariq Sana Al Dhahabiah Company, Nigeria's appointed service provider in the Holy Land.
The Chairman of the Board and Amir'l Hajj,Sheikh Dr. Abdul Maruf Olawale Ishola, who personally led the Osun delegation during the inspection, commended the quality and arrangement of the allocated tents, describing them as befitting for pilgrims about to undertake the most sacred rites of the season.
According to Ishola "The tent is well-structured and equipped to meet the needs of our pilgrims. We are satisfied with what has been provided, and I am confident that our people will perform their rites in an environment that supports both their spiritual focus and physical well-being," he said.
With the inspection successfully concluded,Osun State pilgrims are scheduled to move to Mina on Sunday, May 24, ahead of the major rites spanning the 8th to 12th of Dhul Hijjah, 1447 AH,corresponding to May 25 to 29, 2026.
During this period, The Executive Director of Impact Digital Television Osogbo, Alhaji Wasiu Ajadosu reports that pilgrims will observe the standing at Mount Arafah, the overnight gathering at Muzdalifah, and the symbolic stoning of the Jamarat rites that define the very heart of the Hajj experience.
