The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it was uncharitable, reckless and grossly lacking in tact and diplomacy for the embattled state Governor Ademola Adeleke to have accused the duo of the immediate-past Governor Gboyega Oyetola now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and the vibrant governorship candidate of the APC in the forthcoming election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), of dropping President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's name 'to perpetrate anti-people activities in Osun State'.
Governor Adeleke was at the Uniosun Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Osun State, on Monday where he was spewing falsehoods and gibberish about the state APC leader and the party's governorship candidate without any thing to substantiate his fabricated allegations meant to gain unmerited political advantage over the two illustrious sons of the state who have diligently been contributing their quota for the socio-economic and political advancement of the state.
The governor also went further to accuse the duo of being responsible for what he called the crisis in the local government administration in the state when the opposite is the case as the rightful owners of the mandate are currently busy giving the people of the state at the grassroots level verifiable qualitative governance.
Governor Adeleke cannot pretend not to know that the proverbial snake has crawled away from its known abode of yesterday as the people of the state are currently enjoying the dividends of democracy through the verifiable activities of the Court of Appeal reinstated APC local government chairmen and their councillors.
Was it Alhaji Oyetola and Asiwaju Oyebamiji who prevented the now defunct state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) from appealing the 10th of February, 2025 judgement which expressly reinstated the local government council area chairmen?
Was it Oyetola and AMBO who have been responsible for the plummeting and dwindling popularity of Governor Adeleke who, by all standards, is guilty in the court of the public of running the state aground?
The Governor Adeleke frivolous and irresponsible accusation of the immediate-past Governor Oyetola and our ever-resourceful governorship candidate of being behind his political woes is misplaced and lacks substance.
Governor Adeleke and his cohorts cannot pretend not to know that the reinstated APC local government council chairmen and councillors are speedily adding value to the hitherto neglected people of the state especially at the local government level where each of the local government council areas had successfully graded 35 kilometres of road each.
Where went the memory of the embattled governor when the reinstated APC local government council executives improved the neglected security architecture of the state by donating quite a sizeable number of motorcycles to the police and other statutory security services and the informal ones in that sector in order to complement their efforts in fighting crimes in the state?
One would have thought that the outgoing Governor Adeleke would be honest enough to have disclosed to his audience that he has been the major impediment to the payment of the salaries and allowances of the local government staff and other state workers who are drawing salaries and allowances from the local government councils as the governor has seized all the necessary documents required to process their monthly statutory entitlements.
The spurious allegations of Adeleke against Oyetola and Oyebamiji do not add up as the apparently confused outgoing governor could not expect the minister and our governorship candidate to run his government for him.
Was it Oyetola and Oyebamiji who invoked the wrath of the short-changed people of the state on Governor Adeleke who has been strangely and alarmingly concentrating developmental projects in Ede, his own town, to the detriment of the other towns in the state?
We understand the plight of the visibly rattled Governor Adeleke whose ceaseless bids to join our party were copiously rejected as he was considered as a political liability rather than an asset who could never add any significant value to our party.
We pity the governor in his political wilderness called the relatively unknown and unpopular Accord Party who has been ceaselessly laying a foundation for the justification of his imminent loss of the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
It is not easy for anyone to have a knowledge of his imminent political perdition that he would not engage in the putting on of a false impression of being in charge of the political apparatuses of the state as it's being witnessed in the valedictory speeches of the outgoing governor of the state.
We however, won't forget to inform the casual workers of the state hospital who the governor announced their conversation to permanent staff on Monday not to rejoice yet as the Accord Party governor was only making a mere political statement that he would not be able to fulfil more so when one remembers the plight of the similar category of workers of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation(OSBC) whose appointments are yet to be regularised since over three years ago.
Without equivocation, we want to inform all the publics of the state that the Adeleke accusation of the main opposition party's diversion of N300 billion local government funds is merely diversionary being constantly turned into a singsong by the governor and his co-travellers to misinform and subsequently confuse the good people of the state for an unmerited political gain.
Our governorship candidate, AMBO, whose mission is to return the lost glory of the state has been toiling day and night to send packing the incumbent satellite Governor Adeleke back to wherever he might have come from through the 15th August, 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.
