Osun 2026: Amotekun Corps Commander guarantees adequate security





In order to ensure free, fair, credible and crisis free Governorship election in Osun State, the Amotekun Corps Commander, Dr Isaac Adekunle Omoyele promised residents of Osun State adequate security before, during, and after the election period.


Dr Omoyele who was speaking with journalists during a current affairs programme organized by the Impact Digital Television, Osogbo the capital of Osun State tagged 'The Dialogue", said his men are battle ready  to fight  criminal activities in Osun.

The commandant said Osun Amotekun personnel have been working in conjunction with other security agencies, assured residents that the corps would  ensure a secure and peaceful atmosphere for voters during August 15th Governorship election in the state .

He called on the politicians in the state to play the game according to the rules and to demonstrate unalloyed support with the security personnel in the state to ensure adequate security all over the state.

According to Omoyele, the Corps will deployed personnel to ensure a peaceful environment before, during, and after August 15th Governorship election, while emphasizing that security is a top priority and collective responsibility of all.

"Special attention is paid to securing state borders and key entry exit points while residents are consistently advised to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

"We are available to receive any information from the people of the state as they are free to visit any of the Amotekun offices across the state", Omoyele added.


He urged the residents to repose their confidence in the corps as the corps would not rest on its laurel until the state was free of criminality and become most  peace state for all to live 


Dr Omoyele called on stakeholders to assist security agencies and described as unfortunate a situation where traditional ruler who suppose to be the chief security officer of his community becomes security threat in his own domain.
