NOA Osun Sensitized Residents on Preventive Measures Against COVID-19.







The Osun State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency, led by the State Director, Mr. Adebiyi Adefarasin Stephen, wishes to sensitize residents of Osun State on the need to take proactive steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.


In line with recent advisories from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, residents are strongly urged to remain vigilant and adopt responsible health behaviors that protect both individual and community wellbeing.


The Agency recommends the following preventive measures:

-Maintain proper hand hygiene by washing hands regularly with soap and clean water, or using alcohol-based hand sanitizers.  


-Practice respiratory etiquette by covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.  


-Avoid close contact with individuals showing symptoms such as cough, fever, or difficulty breathing.  


-Ensure adequate ventilation in homes, workplaces, and public spaces.  


-Seek prompt medical attention if you feel unwell and avoid self-medication.  


-Stay informed through verified updates from relevant health authorities.  


The NOA, Osun Directorate also calls on community leaders, religious institutions, market associations, and youth groups across the state to support ongoing awareness campaigns and encourage compliance with public health guidelines.


Mr. Adebiyi, Adefarasin Stephen reiterated that prevention remains the most effective tool in combating infectious diseases. He urged all residents to stay vigilant, responsible, and united in protecting public health.


The Agency reaffirms its commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to promote awareness and ensure accurate information reaches every part of the state.
