The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate for the August 15 election, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, has disclosed that it elected, his administration will pursue aggressive mechanized farming to improve socio-economic activities of agrarian communities across the State.
Speaking at the Obokun/Oriade federal constituency rally held at Ibokun and Ijebu-Jesa markets square on Friday, he assured the people of his commitment to turning around the state economy through mechanized farming.
While addressing the crowd at Ibokun after meeting with the monarchs, Oyebamiji said one of his agenda of elected governor, is to develop the state economy using agriculture being the State's area of comparative advantage.
I am very optimistic that with your support I will emerge as the governor of this state on August 15th, 2026. One of my major plans, is to develop Osun State economy using agriculture, where our state has comparative advantage, our plan is to encourage mechanised farming in all agrarian communities to make farming easy, attractive and to increased productives.
We will no just improvise agricultural output, we will link agrarian communities to their markets by building roads in rural communities and rehabilitating the existing ones.
While addressing supporters at the Ijebu Jesa, Oyebamiji pledged to jettison nepotism and ensure that all parts of the state enjoy dividends of good governance and not only his local government as been currently experienced.
“Like I said during our campaign flag-off in Ile-Ife, I have also assured our traditional rulers in Obokun/Ori-Ade that our administration will not prioritise one local government over the other as the current government is obviously doing.
“We campaign for vote across all the local government areas and I can assure you by the grace of God we shall return the favour without bias.”
“On our way to this area, we have seen the level of neglect of in public schools, primary health care centers and road infrastructure, if elected governor I will ensure the rehabilitation of schools, PHCs and employ qualify teachers and health workers to expand access to quality health services and education for our children.”
Meanwhile, Oyebamiji during a royal visit to the Ogboni of Ibokun, Oba Festus Adegboro and Egboro of Ijebu-Jesa, Oba Moses Agunsoye as well as other traditional rulers, received blessings with the monarchs praying for the success of his aspiration.
