A revered traditional ruler in Osun State, the Lowa Adimula of Ile-Ife, Oba Abraham Adeyeye Adekola, has described his late boss, Ooni Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II, as pillar of his success story.
The Lowa Adimula who made this known while celebrating his birthday in his ultra modern palace by expressing profound gratitude to God for his life and accomplishments credited his success and position to divine grace rather than his own power.
Oba Adekola who thanked God Almighty for guiding his life's journey, emphasised that, Oba Sijuwade trained and made him what he becomes today, adding that, he had travelled far and near.
This is not my making, but God and my boss, the late Ooni Sijuwade because without him, I wouldn't have become what I am today. From Jaran to Lowa Adimula, it was like a policeman with the rank of Constable and promoted to the position of Inspector General. I give thanks to God Almighty, as well as my late parents.
Oba Adekola said, he worked with the late Ooni Sijuwade for 35 years, including 14 years as his traditional ADC (Saarun) to foster the development of Ile-Ife and unity of Yorubaland.
He described the late monarch as an incomparable leader who prioritized the growth of the community and the dignity of the traditional institution.
The Lowa Adimula emphasised that, he cannot complete his birthday's message without praising the current Arole Oduduwa, Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, whom he described as a father who works for the development of the ancient Ile-Ife and entire Yorubaland.
Oba Adeyeye who was highly elated said, Ooni Ogunwusi is a philanthropist and father of fatherless who always loves to see his subjects on top.
The current Ooni of Ile-Ife has turned around the fortune of Ile-Ife and entire Yorubaland, while he always empowered vulnerable.
The Lowa Adimula further used the medium to appeal to younger generation to always work hard and develop the spirit of humility, faithfulness and love.
Oba Adeyeye however thanked his wives, Chief Mrs Mojisola Adeyeye, Mrs Florence Adeyeye, Mrs Olai Adeyeye, and Mrs Victoria Adeyeye, as well as his children, grand children, royal families, for their unwavering support throughout his journey, friends, co traditional rulers, associates and well wishes who have come from far and near to celebrate his 2026 birthday's ceremony with him.
