Governor Ademola Adeleke Declares Support for Opeyemi David Falegan Ahead of Ekiti Governorship Election




The Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Ademola Adeleke, has openly declared his unwavering support for the Accord Party governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Opeyemi David Falegan (ODF), ahead of the forthcoming June 20 governorship election.


Speaking in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, Governor Adeleke emphasized the importance of credible leadership, democratic integrity, and the need for visionary governance in Ekiti State. He affirmed his commitment not only to the campaign of ODF but also to ensuring a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.


According to Governor Adeleke, “The Ekiti governorship election represents a defining moment for the people. It is an opportunity to choose competence, capacity, and a future-driven leadership. I am proud to lend my full support to Opeyemi David Falegan and his running mate, Akoni Omoyeni Bayode, whose vision aligns with the aspirations of the people.”


The Governor further described the ODF candidacy as a symbol of hope, inclusiveness, and progressive governance. He noted that Ekiti State stands at a crossroads and requires leaders who understand grassroots realities while possessing the capacity to deliver impactful development.


He continued, “This election is not just another political exercise—it is a must-win for the people of Ekiti who desire genuine transformation. I strongly believe that ODF and his deputy, Akoni Omoyeni Bayode, have the competence, integrity, and determination to reposition Ekiti State for sustainable growth.”


Governor Adeleke also called on stakeholders, party faithful, and the electorate to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly throughout the electoral process. He stressed the importance of unity, participation, and vigilance in safeguarding the democratic process.


“As leaders, we must encourage peaceful participation and uphold the sanctity of the ballot. Democracy thrives when the will of the people is respected,” he added.


The Governor concluded by urging the people of Ekiti State to come out en masse on election day to exercise their civic responsibility and vote for credible leadership that will prioritize development, transparency, and the welfare of the citizens.
